Adam Investigations Counsel continues to grow its investigations team with the addition of Jane Tanimura. Serving as of counsel, Ms. Tanimura brings her extensive employment law experience to her investigative work, which focuses on sexual assault, harassment, and disability issues.

Ms. Tanimura takes great pride in her fact-finding process and firmly believes in the transformative impact impartial investigations have in upholding fairness and justice in the workplace.

Prior to specializing in investigations, Ms. Tanimura served as Senior Counsel for the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), representing the State of California in cases involving unlawful discrimination in employment and housing and bias-motivated violence. There, Ms. Tanimura conducted investigations and litigated individual and class action cases focused on Fair Employment and Housing Act violations, including pay equity claims against companies in the technology and gaming sectors.

She also has extensive experience successfully litigating complex and emotionally charged cases. During her tenure at a leading employment law firm, she represented a diverse range of employees in harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, family and medical leave, and wage and hour disputes.

Ms. Tanimura holds certificates from the Association of Workplace Investigators and T9 Mastered.

She earned her law degree from the University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Brown University. While in law school, Ms. Tanimura held positions at the Los Angeles District Office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, with the Honorable Judge Christina Snyder of the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and at the Los Angeles Office of the Federal Public Defender. She also served with Teach for America.
