Aisha Shelton Adam, the founder and managing partner of Adam Investigations Counsel, calls on women to redefine their success in Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 19th annual Women Worth Watching edition showcasing highly accomplished women paving the way for tomorrow’s leaders.
“My journey, both personally and professionally, is a call to action to women,” Ms. Adam writes in a personal essay detailing her journey of loss, grief, and healing that led her to reassess her success.
“Chart your own course and break barriers along the way. Do not be afraid to lead. No matter how many times you fall down, get back up and keep going. You’ve got this,” she wrote to inspire other women.
Ms. Adam, a skilled litigator who exclusively centers her practice on workplace investigations, specializes in conducting discreet, in-depth, and unbiased investigations into misconduct allegations that help public, private, and education-sector employers uncover and remedy issues before they escalate. She joins 67 women across the United States in being named to the 2020 Women Worth Watching list.
“The 2020 Women Worth Watching represent the remarkable progress women have made toward equity over the last 100 years. They also represent the best of who we are today,” Lorraine Hariton, the president and CEO of Catalyst, a global nonprofit accelerating progress for women at work, wrote in the issue.
Ms. Adam’s commentary, and those of other leading businesswomen, appears in the Profiles in Diversity Journal (Summer 2020) Women Worth Watching edition and is available to read in full here.
