Ms. Adam holds certificates from both the Association of Workplace Investigators and T9 Mastered and is well-versed in conducting investigations into misconduct allegations for public, private, and education-sector employers.

A captivating narrator, Ms. Adam leverages 15 years of experience handling labor, employment, and business litigation to provide rigorous, yet sensitive, unbiased investigations that identify cultural issues to help employers resolve conflicts, mitigate litigation risks, and restore confidence in their workplaces. 

Ms. Adam has investigated complex claims involving multiple and anonymous complainants for numerous California cities and public agencies, global media, automotive and clothing companies, hospitals, and educational institutions. In her investigations-only practice, Ms. Adam has investigated whistleblower complaints and allegations of retaliation, harassment, discrimination (based on race, gender, gender identity, and political viewpoint), abusive conduct, fraud, waste, and implicit bias.

An experienced investigator of Title IX sexual misconduct claims on primary, secondary, and college campuses, Ms. Adam is trained in using trauma-informed techniques to question witnesses and has investigated numerous claims of student-on-student and teacher-on-student misconduct. Since 2016, Ms. Adam has conducted over 100 independent investigations.  

Before founding Adam Investigations Counsel, Ms. Adam was a business litigator defending clients against claims of wrongful termination, trade secret misappropriation, discrimination, sexual harassment, embezzlement, wage theft, and gender violence. In 2016, Ms. Adam second-chaired the defense of the famed creator of hot yoga in a four-week jury trial throughout which she navigated intense media coverage. 

As an attorney who has represented clients in complex litigation, Ms. Adam knows how to conduct independent investigations and prepare reasoned, credible reports that withstand scrutiny in a courtroom, in arbitration, and in the public domain. 

Ms. Adam earned her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2002 and is a graduate of Arizona State University, where she earned her B.A. in Family Studies and Human Development in 1999.

She is a member of the National Employment Law Council, Society for Human Resources Management, and AWI, where she serves as a Training Institute faculty member. Ms. Adam completed the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Trial Advocacy Program and has tried cases as a pro bono prosecutor.

Ms. Adam also serves on Cedars-Sinai’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Family Council in memory of her daughter, Brooklyn.
